It is just over one month before we again join in fun and excitement at the fourth annual GLAMARAMA RALLY at the Elkhart County 4-H Fairground in Goshen Indiana June 8 through 12. As a chapter president it is imperative for your chapter that you provide information on the following areas to assure your chapter is properly supported and represented at the rally.

Please prepare your list of chapter members who will be attending GLAMARAMA 16. Email your list to Ken Lewis to aid the parking crew in getting your chapter located in an appropriately large space and parked as quickly as possible. Your chapter has done this so well before but like with everything else a reminder is always helpful.

Next, please email Bev Nesbitt if your chapter will take part in the Chapter Fair from 3:00 – 4:00 pm on Wednesday,June 8  immediately following the First Timers Seminar. This is an excellent time to make the first good impression of your chapter for those new and recently unaffiliated attendees. They may even have friends who they might refer your way just by your location in relation to their friends.

Just as important as the previous two is your contacting Ross Boyer to provide him with the chapter name and the number of persons that will be taking part in your assigned shelter activities during the Thursday night free evening of meetings, meals and all around fun get togethers. Ross assigns the shelters based upon the space required by your chapter. Please provide Ross with this information ASAP.

Remind your members that by volunteering they automatically qualify for free early arrival parking. That means Tuesday arrival will cost nothing. Selected volunteers will be asked to arrive even earlier to insure setup of the fairground is complete by the time early arrivals on Tuesday are parked. In addition each volunteer receives an additional $10 in Vendor Bucks to add to the $10 provided to each coach registered at GLAMARAMA 16.

The rally website was recently updated with the lists of registered vendors and the craft offerings including supplies needed. We are very pleased that four dealers have already signed up to be there and to bring along different size motorhomes to choose from.

There will be all new entertainment, fun activities and lots of seminars to fill your brain. Wednesday is Mike Albert, a well renowned Elvis Impersonator following on Friday by Cahil Dunne, a multitalented artist you will not want to miss. On Saturday night the Atlantic City Boys will leave your snapping your fingers and tapping your feet.

The fun activities include a golf outing, line dancing, card bingo and the Ladies Tea. Each of these activities have been well attended and create lasting memories and many new friends. Consider taking part in some or all of these fun opportunities.

The seminars included this year feature microwave convection cooking, educational sessions on tires presented by the highly recognized tire expert, Roger Marble and genealogy sessions to help guide you to map out your family history.
All this equates to another great rally with good friends.

See you there!
